Molly was born in Pennsylvania and began to work professionally as a teenager at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her debut professional show included The Snow Queen. In the Arden Theater production of Into the Woods the actress won a Barrymore Award for playing Little Red Ridinghood. It was recast when Molly performed her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway, in 2002. Molly was awarded an award from the Drama League Award for this performance. Molly also appeared in Broadway for the revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Molly attended Princeton University as a Triangle Club Member and received a B.A. In 2008, she graduated with the degree of B.A. When she was in the college, she began her acting career as a character in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. After graduation Molly appeared in a variety of Off-Broadway shows, such as End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater and in some television work including Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly is a part of several regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, at Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre as well as Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank. She was Anne. Molly is well-known as the character Ali, a teenage daughter in Paranormal Activity 2, a film from 2010, in which Jack Burditt directed and wrote the ABC comedy Last Man Standing starring Tim Allen.
